EPA Receives Application for Experimental Use Permit for Genetically Modified Corn

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced receipt of an application from Syngenta Seeds Inc. for an experimental use permit (EUP) for genetically modified corn that incorporates a plant-incorporated protectant (PIP) to control pests, and the genetic material necessary for its production.
