EPA Receives Petition to Lower Lead Dust Standards and Modify Lead-Based Paint Definition

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has received a petition from a coalition of organizations, including the National Center for Healthy Housing and the Sierra Club, to reconsider the current lead dust standards and definition of lead-based paint under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The EPA is seeking public comments on the petition, which must be responded to within 90 days.
