HHS Proposes Modifications to HIPAA Privacy Rule to Address Genetic Information Privacy Requirements

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposes to modify certain provisions of the HIPAA Privacy Rule to implement section 105 of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA), which focuses on the privacy and confidentiality of genetic information.
