Restoring Native Species to High Elevation Aquatic Ecosystems in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, CA

The National Park Service is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement to restore native mountain yellow-legged frogs and high elevation aquatic ecosystems in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, CA, as required by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the California Environmental Quality Act. The plan aims to remove non-native trout from 14% of lakes and ponds, creating fishless habitat for the frogs' historic range.
