Boeing Proposes Special Conditions for 747-8/-8F Airplanes with Advanced Electronic Flight Control System

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed special conditions for the Boeing Model 747-8/-8F airplanes, which will feature an electronic flight control system that provides roll control through pilot inputs to the flight computers, in order to ensure a level of safety equivalent to existing airworthiness standards.
