US Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Helena National Forest's Warm Springs Habitat Enhancement Project

The US Forest Service plans to develop an environmental impact statement to inform vegetation management actions in the Warm Springs area of the Elkhorn Mountains, with the goal of restoring a fire-dependent ecosystem resilient to high-intensity wildfires and promoting the recovery of ponderosa pine and aspen habitats.
