Boeing Proposes Special Conditions for 787-8 Airplane to Prevent Fuel Tank Vapor Ignition

Boeing has proposed special conditions for the 787-8 airplane to incorporate a novel fuel tank nitrogen generation system, which significantly reduces the risk of fuel vapor ignition caused by lightning strikes, and addresses a gap in airworthiness regulations.
