SEC Seeks Comments on Possible Rescission of Rule 436(g) Under The Securities Act of 1933

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking public comment on whether to rescind Rule 436(g) under the Securities Act of 1933, which exempts nationally recognized statistical rating organizations from certain provisions of the Act, as part of its review of the role of credit rating agencies in the securities markets.
