Medicare Program; Inpatient Hospital Deductible and Hospital and Extended Care Services Coinsurance Amounts for Calendar Year 2010

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the inpatient hospital deductible and coinsurance amounts for Medicare beneficiaries in calendar year 2010, as specified in the Medicare statute. For CY 2010, Medicare Part A beneficiaries will pay a deductible of $1,100 and coinsurance rates of $275 per day for days 61-90, $550 per day for lifetime reserve days, and $137.50 per day for extended care services days 21-100.
