MD Helicopters, Inc. Proposes Revised Airworthiness Directive for MD-900 Helicopters

The proposed airworthiness directive aims to reduce the life limit of the swashplate spherical slider bearing and correct the life limit for the bellcrank assembly, following reports of cracks in the slider bearing before the previously increased retirement life was reached, with the goal of preventing fatigue failure and loss of control of the helicopter.
