HHS to Evaluate Petition for North American Aviation Workers' Inclusion in Special Exposure Cohort

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced its decision to evaluate a petition to include a class of North American Aviation workers who worked at the Canoga Avenue Facility in Los Angeles, California, in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which covers workers who worked at facilities producing nuclear materials from 1947 to 1969.
