Social Security Administration to Hold Hearing on Compassionate Allowances for Schizophrenia

The Social Security Administration is seeking public input on a new method to quickly identify serious medical conditions, including schizophrenia, that qualify for disability benefits under the Social Security Act, and will hold a public hearing to gather views on the proposal.
