FAA Disapproves Louisville International Airport's Noise Compatibility Program Update
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has disapproved the Louisville Regional Airport Authority's (LRAA) update to its noise compatibility program, citing concerns over an offset approach to Runway 17R at Louisville International Airport (SDF). The FAA's decision was announced on August 4, 2009, following a review of the proposal under 14 CFR Part 150 and the Aviation Safety and Noise Abatement Act of 1979.
