U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Releases Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Nags Head Beach Nourishment Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released a draft environmental impact statement for the Town of Nags Head's proposed beach nourishment project, which involves dredging up to 4.6 million cubic yards of sediment from an offshore borrow site and depositing it along 10 miles of ocean shoreline.
