Equus Beds Aquifer Storage Recharge and Recovery Project Receives Final Environmental Impact Statement Approval

The Bureau of Reclamation has completed the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Equus Beds Aquifer Storage Recharge and Recovery Project in Kansas, which aims to restore and conserve the Equus Beds aquifer while developing water supplies for the City of Wichita's future needs, with federal funding assistance authorized by the U.S. Congress under the Wichita Project Equus Beds Division Authorization Act of 2005.
