NMFS Makes Preliminary Determination on Exempted Fishing Permit Application for Monkfish Fishery

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, has made a preliminary determination that an Exempted Fishing Permit application for the monkfish fishery warrants further consideration, but further review and consultation are needed before a final decision on issuing the permit.
