Medicare Program: Changes to the Medicare Claims Appeal Procedures

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a final rule updating the Medicare claims appeal procedures, which will allow Medicare beneficiaries and healthcare providers to appeal adverse determinations for Medicare Part A and Part B benefits. The changes are in response to comments on a previous interim final rule and aim to improve the appeals process.
