Extension of Provider Reimbursement Demonstration Project for the State of Alaska

The State of Alaska has extended the demonstration project for individual provider payment rates, which sets higher payment rates for physicians and non-institutional professional providers. The enhanced portion of the demonstration that covers 101% of reasonable costs for inpatient and outpatient facilities of Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) has been terminated due to the publication of the TRICARE Reimbursement of CAHs final rule on August 31, 2009.
