DOE Modifies Preferred Alternatives for Tank Waste Treatment and Disposal at Hanford Site

The U.S. Department of Energy is revising its preferred approach for handling tank waste and off-site waste at the Hanford Site in Washington state, in response to public comments on its Draft Environmental Impact Statement, which is open for public review until March 19, 2010.
