HHS to Review Petition for Special Exposure Cohort at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is required to evaluate a petition to include a class of employees at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which covers employees who worked at facilities that produced nuclear materials between 1942 and 1961.
