U.S. Extends Temporary Protected Status for Sudan for 18 Months

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has extended the temporary protected status (TPS) for Sudan for 18 months, from May 2, 2010, to November 2, 2011, and has outlined procedures for nationals of Sudan to re-register and apply for employment authorization documents (EADs) with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
