Nuclear Regulatory Commission Denies Petition from Natural Resources Defense Council to Limit Highly Enriched Uranium Use

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has rejected a proposal by the Natural Resources Defense Council to restrict the domestic use and export of highly enriched uranium, citing existing regulations that provide adequate protection of public health and safety, as well as national defense and security.
