James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant Granted NRC Exemption to Operate Beyond Scheduled Decommissioning Date

The James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant has been granted an exemption from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to operate beyond its originally scheduled decommissioning date. The plant, owned by Exelon Corporation, will now be allowed to continue generating electricity until at least 2034.
