NRC Solicits Public Comment on Revised Physical Security Standard for Nuclear Power Plants

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public input on a proposed revision to its Standard Review Plan (SRP) for nuclear power plants, specifically Section 13.6.3 on physical security, which was last updated in 2007 to reflect changes in the Power Reactor Security Rule. The revision aims to ensure timely implementation of current staff guidance and facilitate the review of amendment applications and design certification applications.
