U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Amendment to Spent Fuel Storage Cask Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations for spent fuel storage casks by revising the NAC-MPC System listing to include Amendment No. 6 to Certificate of Compliance Number 1025, which includes changes to the configuration of the storage system and its ability to accommodate various types of spent fuel assemblies.
