Nuclear Regulatory Commission Extends Comment Period for Proposed Rule on Source Material Distribution

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has extended the public comment period for a proposed rule requiring explicit authorization for the initial distribution of source material to exempt persons and general licensees, and has also announced plans to publish draft implementation guidance to support the rule.
