Nuclear Regulatory Commission Receives Petition for Rulemaking to Reduce Security Officer Work Hours

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received a petition from Erik Erb and 91 co-signers to amend its regulations to decrease the minimum days off requirement for security officers working 12-hour shifts from 3 days per week to 2.5 or 2 days per week, with the NRC seeking public comments on the proposal.
