DoD, GSA, and NASA Issue Final Rule to Implement Executive Order on Economy in Government Contracting

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have issued a final rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to comply with the Executive Order on Economy in Government Contracting, which was signed into law on January 30, 2009, and amended on October 30, 2009. The rule aims to prohibit government contractors from incurring costs related to persuading employees to join or refrain from joining labor unions.
