USPTO Proposes Changes to Patent Rules and Reexamination Fees
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is proposing to update its patent rules to implement the supplemental examination provisions of the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act, which allow patent owners to request additional review of their patents. The proposed changes also include adjusting reexamination fees to better reflect the costs of the process.
