USPTO Proposes New Rules for Covered Business Method Patents Transitional Program

The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is proposing new rules to implement the transitional post-grant review proceeding for covered business method patents, which will be conducted before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), in accordance with the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act provisions that take effect on September 16, 2012.
