FCC Establishes Pleading Cycle for Oppositions to Reconsideration of Ten-Digit Telephone Number Assignment and E911 Requirements for TRS

The FCC, through its Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau, has announced the filing of petitions for reconsideration of the assignment of ten-digit telephone numbers and E911 requirements for Internet-Based Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) by Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc. and five consumer organizations, as well as GoAmerica, Inc. The petitioners seek to reconsider the eligibility requirement for ten-digit telephone number assignment and request a limited waiver for GoAmerica for six months regarding the priority requirement for TRS providers.
