DEA Proposes Fospropofol Placement in Schedule IV of Controlled Substances Act

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has proposed a rule to place the anesthetic agent fospropofol into Schedule IV of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), following a recommendation from the Acting Assistant Secretary for Health of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and an evaluation of relevant data by the DEA.
