DEA Proposes to Add Carisoprodol to Schedule IV of Controlled Substances Act

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has proposed to place carisoprodol, including its salts and isomers, into Schedule IV of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), following a recommendation from the Acting Assistant Secretary for Health of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and an evaluation of relevant data by the DEA.
