Cheniere Marketing, Inc. Seeks Blanket Authorization to Export LNG

Cheniere Marketing, Inc. has submitted an application to the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy for a blanket authorization to export liquefied natural gas from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana to several countries over a two-year period, starting from the date of authorization. The application, filed on August 15, 2008, seeks permission to export up to 64 billion cubic feet of natural gas on a short-term or spot market basis.
