US Amends Oil and Gas Leases Offshore Florida to Implement Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act

The US has amended regulations for oil and gas leases on the Outer Continental Shelf to provide credits to lessees who relinquish certain eligible leases in the Gulf of Mexico, allowing them to use these credits in lieu of monetary payment or transfer them to other lessees.
