USDA Under Secretary Extends Timber Contracts Amid Softwood Lumber Price Drop

The US Department of Agriculture has determined that a substantial public interest justifies extending certain timber contracts beyond 10 years due to declining softwood and hardwood lumber prices since 2004 and 2007, respectively.
