U.S. Department of Agriculture and FDA Host Public Meeting on Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are hosting a public meeting on September 24, 2008, to gather public input on agenda items and positions for the 30th Session of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The meeting will also discuss the Scientific Basis of Health Claims and Nutrient Reference Values for food labeling purposes.
