NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing by Pot Catcher Processors in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has taken action to prevent pot catcher processors from exceeding their allocated catch limit for Pacific cod in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area, citing concerns over the 2008 total allowable catch (TAC) for this species.
