EPA Proposes General Permit for Offshore Seafood Processors in Alaska

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a general permit for offshore seafood processors in Alaska, which would allow them to discharge treated wastewater into state and federal waters, at least 0.5 nautical miles from shore, in accordance with the Clean Water Act. Comments on the proposed permit must be received by November 10, 2008.
