MMS to Offer Oil and Gas Lease Sales in Gulf of Mexico

The Minerals Management Service (MMS) is preparing a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for oil and gas lease sales in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) in the Central Planning Area (CPA) and Western Planning Area (WPA), with sales tentatively scheduled for 2009-2012, as mandated by the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act of 2006.
