NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by vessels catching Pacific cod for processing in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska to prevent exceeding the 2008 total allowable catch limit.
