Bureau of Indian Affairs and Montana Department of Environmental Quality Announce Final Environmental Impact Statement and Record of Decision for Proposed Absaloka Mine Extension

The Bureau of Indian Affairs and Montana Department of Environmental Quality are jointly reviewing a proposed extension of the Absaloka mine onto the Crow Indian Reservation, with a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) available for public review, following approval of a lease with Westmoreland Resources, Inc. for the South Extension coal lease tract.
