Nuclear Waste Disposal Plan for Yucca Mountain Receives Record of Decision and Floodplain Statement of Findings

The US Department of Energy has issued a Record of Decision and Floodplain Statement of Findings for the disposal of spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, following the completion of three final environmental impact statements, including the Final Nevada Rail Corridor SEIS, the final Rail Alignment EIS, and the final Repository SEIS.
