HUD Extends Energy Performance Contracts for Public Housing

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is issuing an interim rule to update the Public Housing Operating Fund Program regulations, allowing for longer energy performance contracts up to 20 years, and extending existing contracts without reprocurement for up to 20 years, to support additional energy conservation improvements.
