U.S. Maritime Administration Requests Public Comment on Administrative Waiver of Coastwise Trade Laws

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking public comment on a request for an administrative waiver of the U.S.-build requirement of the coastwise laws, which would allow a foreign-built vessel to operate in U.S. waters. The public can review the complete application and submit comments on the potential impact on U.S. vessel builders and businesses using U.S.-flag vessels at http://www.regulations.gov.
