EPA Grants Exemption to AK Steel for Hazardous Waste Injection Wells in Middletown, OH

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a petition by AK Steel Corporation to exempt two Class I injection wells in Middletown, Ohio, from land disposal restrictions for hazardous waste disposal, allowing the company to continue injecting a specific restricted waste into the wells for at least 10,000 years.
