Shell Offshore, Inc. and WesternGeco Issued Incidental Harassment Authorization for Seismic Surveys in Beaufort and Chukchi Seas

The U.S. government has granted permits to Shell Offshore, Inc. and WesternGeco to conduct seismic surveys in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas, allowing them to take small numbers of marine mammals in the process, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
