USDA Clarifies Interpretation of 'Federal Public Benefit' Under PRWORA

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a notice clarifying its interpretation of the term 'Federal public benefit' as defined in the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA), which supersedes any prior interpretations. The notice also identifies USDA programs that provide 'Federal public benefits' within the scope of PRWORA.
