NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher processors using hook-and-line gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area due to concerns of exceeding the 2008 total allowable catch limit.
