EPA Establishes Time-Limited Tolerance for Avermectin on Lima Beans

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted an emergency exemption under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to use the pesticide avermectin on large lima beans, resulting in a time-limited tolerance for combined residues of avermectin B 1 and its delta-8,9-isomer on bean, lima, and seed.
